There is much controversy surrounding the issue of negative calorie, or negative energy, foods.

These terms don’t mean that certain foods are free from calories, but rather that digesting these foods uses more energy than the foods contain – so by eating them you use more calories than you are eating.

Many experts, however, argue that this is simply not true – and it is an argue that requires further research.
