Healthy Breakfast In Bed Ideas For Father’s Day

So, tomorrow is Father’s Day, and what a great opportunity to spoil the men in our lives who are wonderful husbands and dads.

But you don’t have to shower your husband or father with expensive presents – often the smaller gestures mean just as much, if not more.  And a favourite pampering treat has to be being brought breakfast in bed.

So here’s my list of top 5 healthy, delicious breakfasts to treat Him to tomorrow:

  1. Tasty oatmeal – make the daddy in your life a bowl of oatmeal and then add blueberries, flaxseed, almonds, cinnamon and little honey, and you have a delicious breakfast that is full of fibre, protein, healthy hats and rich in nutrients. Mmm!
  2. Scrambled eggs – and if he doesn’t eat eggs, make scrambled tofu instead.  Add some mixed peppers, mushroom and black pepper and serve on wholegrain toast.  Complex carbs and lean protein make a powerful breakfast combination.
  3. Granola – serve with natural yoghurt and a mix of fresh berries, and a little maple syrup or honey. Delicious!
  4. Fruit salad – always a good option, you could even serve it with a glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice
  5. Cottage cheese and fruit – this is a wonderful but surprising combination, simply serve some cottage cheese with any fruit your dad particularly likes.  It especially goes well with apples, berries and citrus fruits.
