How To Choose The Best Health Supplements

8 Jul

Choosing health supplements is something clients often ask me for guidance with.

More and more people are realising that supplements are an important part of supporting your body, regardless of how good your diet and health may be.

But there are so many options.  And every supplement claims to be the best.

Often, when clients are searching for the best multivitamin or antioxidant product, they end up selecting the product with the biggest marketing campaign or which has their favourite celebrity’s endorsement.

Sadly, big marketing campaigns don’t necessarily mean the product is something you should be spending money on and putting into your body.  And celebrity endorsements are meaningless unless the celebrity has truly used the product and benefited from it… in most cases they are simply paid to star in television adverts to increase sales.

So, if they aren’t good reasons to choose a supplement, what should you base your buying decision on?

My advice is to listen to the experts.  It’s a lot quicker and easier than becoming an expert yourself.

So, for instance, instead of believing the advert statistics (you know the ones – the ‘82% of people love this product’ when only 12 pre-selected people were surveyed!), check which products reputable organisations recommend and use.

The acclaimed International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) has just named a brand as their official supplement provider, and interestingly it isn’t one of the brands making ridiculous claims.

That’s the kind of endorsement you should pay attention to, and you can view that range of products here.
